# Develocity Reporting via Amazon Athena

<a id="preamble"></a>

Develocity Reporting via Amazon Athena exports Develocity build data as build models to Amazon S3, where you can query them with Amazon Athena and visualize the results in Grafana dashboards.

This gives organizations that already run AWS analytics infrastructure a way to build custom Build Scan reporting on top of it, instead of adopting a separate reporting stack. If you want to visualize Develocity build data without using AWS services, use the [Develocity Reporting Kit](https://docs.develocity.ai/reporting-kit/2.3/) instead.

<a id="key-capabilities"></a>

## Key Capabilities

* Exports Develocity build models to Amazon S3 for consumption by external big data tools

* Provides an Amazon Athena schema that Develocity can create and keep in sync automatically

* Ships pre-built Grafana dashboards for visualizing build volume, environment, and test data

* Exported data follows the same retention period configured for Develocity

See the [User Manual](https://docs.develocity.ai/reporting-aws/2.1/user-manual/) for setup instructions.
