# Policy Scan™

A Policy Scan is an audit record that captures an artifact’s state at a specific checkpoint or stage in the software delivery lifecycle. It serves as a snapshot, enabling stakeholders to assess compliance and track policy progress continuously. Policy Scan is a feature of Develocity Provenance Governor, part of Develocity (downloadable software).
