# Develocity for npm

Develocity for npm publishes a Build Scan for every npm invocation to your Develocity instance. Each Build Scan captures console output, test results, and execution details in a permanent, shareable record for investigating failures and tracking build performance.

> npm support isn’t enabled by default with Develocity. If you want to use npm with Develocity, contact Develocity support.

## Key Capabilities

*   Publish a Build Scan for every npm invocation, with a shareable URL and full console log
    
*   Inspect test results, durations, and per-test execution details directly from the Build Scan
    
*   Search and filter captured Build Scan records by project, user, outcome, and start time
    
*   Enrich each Build Scan with custom tags, values, and links, such as VCS commit identifiers or CI run URLs
