# Develocity IntelliJ Plugin

<a id="preamble"></a>

The Develocity IntelliJ plugin integrates build performance and test history from your Gradle and Maven builds directly into IntelliJ IDEA, so you can diagnose issues without switching to external tools. It shows a live build timeline, surfaces historical test results inline in your test source files, and publishes Build Scan to [scans.gradle.com](https://scans.gradle.com) or a Develocity server.

<a id="key-capabilities"></a>

## Key Capabilities

* Live build timeline of task and goal execution, parallelism, and CPU and memory usage during Gradle and Maven builds

* Build Scan publishing to scans.gradle.com or a Develocity server, with automatic Gradle build configuration and IDE notifications on completion

* Historical test pass/fail/flakiness data as inline annotations in Java, Kotlin, and Groovy test source files

* Query patterns to scope test history to specific builds, branches, users, or CI runs using the Develocity search syntax
