# Release History

<a id="current"></a>

## Current

<a id="2-4-0"></a>

### 2.4.0

24th September 2026

* \[NEW\] The Reporting Kit variant and the Amazon Athena variant are released with the same version number, and are documented together in this component. The Athena variant moves from 1.10.x to 2.4.0

* \[NEW\] Add the _Docker Build Parallelism_ and _Docker Build Caching_ dashboards. Both require Develocity 2026.3, the first release to export Docker build data

* \[NEW\] Include Docker builds on the volume and environment dashboards. Docker builds aren’t included in the _Build Failures_ dashboard, which classifies failures as verification or non-verification, nor in the JVM dashboards, and they contribute no data to the task and goal, Build Cache savings, and plugin panels of the volume dashboards

* \[NEW\] The _JVM Dependencies_ dashboard reports the origin that served each dependency, alongside the repository containing it

* \[NEW\] The _JVM Dependencies_ dashboard filters by origin type instead of resolution source, which remains a column

* \[NEW\] The _Dependency Caching_ dashboard offers a `Cache` filter, and cached dependency files break down per cache

* \[FIX\] Repository counts are consistent across the panels of the _Dependencies_ and _JVM Dependencies_ dashboards

* \[NEW\] The Reporting Kit variant includes a Kustomize file for provisioning the dashboards on Kubernetes

* \[FIX\] The _Details per versioned dependency_ tables no longer count build time once per repository and origin

* \[FIX\] Failure-category labels on the _Repository Stability_ dashboard are legible against the yellow pie slices

## Previous Versions

Before 2.4.0 the two variants were released on separate version lines, and their changes were recorded in two different places: dashboard changes in the Reporting Kit’s release history, and Amazon Athena schema changes in the Amazon Athena user manual. Both are reproduced below.

The dashboard definitions are the same in both variants, so every dashboard entry below applies to the Reporting Kit variant and the Amazon Athena variant alike, even though the entries are labeled with Reporting Kit version numbers.

For the mapping between the old version lines, see [dashboard bundle compatibility](https://docs.develocity.ai/2026.3/miscellaneous/compatibility/#develocity-reporting-and-visualization-dashboard-bundles).

<a id="breaking-column-change"></a>

##### Breaking Column Change

The `build_start_time` column is now an internal partition column. It’s part of the new partitioning schema for all tables and views. It didn’t exist for most tables and views before, except for the following:

*   `gradle_task_summary`

*   `maven_goal_summary`

*   `unit_execution_summary`

Custom queries using `build_start_time` in these tables will need to be updated to use `build_start_timestamp` instead, which has the same data type and meaning as the previous definition.

#### Athena Schema 1.5.x

Initial release for V2.0, which introduces a significant enhancement to data export, leveraging the power of the ORC format. This optimized format enables more efficient data storage and substantially boosts query performance.

The ORC format will reduce the storage footprint of build data and dramatically improve Athena’s efficiency by consolidating numerous small files into larger, more manageable units, resulting in savings on network bandwidth and compute resources.

This improvement also translates directly to lower query costs, as the volume of data processed determines these.
